xero plans

The tradeoff for Xero’s unlimited users on the Early plan is that it enforces pretty stiff limits on other things, only allowing 20 invoices and 5 bills per month. Most small businesses will exceed that limit quickly and be forced to upgrade to a more expensive plan. The Established plan costs $80 per month and includes unlimited numbers of invoices and bills. In addition to all the features of the other two plans, the Established plan includes the use of multiple currencies, tracking time and projects, claiming expenses and viewing in-depth analytics. Xero is robust, cloud-based software with strong accounting, ample integrations, and some great features. It offers tons of automations to save your business time, such as automatic sales tax lookup, group invoicing, and default email templates.

Your use of the Xero services is subject to the Xero Terms of Use and your use of the Hubdoc services is subject to the Hubdoc Terms of Use. Payments are due by the end of your monthly billing period based on the date you purchased your subscription. Hubdoc is included in Xero Early, Growing and Established plans as long as it’s connected to your Xero subscription. All pricing plans cover the accounting essentials, with room to grow. Xero has a reputation for some of the strongest cloud security out there. Security measures include data encryption, two-step authentication, and 24/7 monitoring at multiple locations.

The Best Corporate Credit Cards For Businesses

Plans are affordable, starting at $13 per month, but no free plan. If you’re looking for an accountant who specializes in Xero, you can search for an accounting advisor through their website by location and industry.

Data is purchase discounts returns and allowances backed up daily across various servers, and regular security audits are performed. Xero no longer offers built-in payroll, but it does integrate with Gusto Payroll. With more small businesses now using digital tools to run their business, many are looking for ways to become more efficient as they grow. A fantastic trait of small businesses is that they can be very agile in adapting and responding to change. We’ve seen so many small businesses implement digital tools and grow their confidence, and we’re hearing from our customers that they’d like to be able to do even more with Xero.

  1. Xero used to offer strong customer support, and while there are still a ton of great support resources available, getting in touch with an actual representative is a lot more difficult.
  2. By providing feedback on how we can improve, you can earn gift cards and get early access to new features.
  3. The Growing plan costs $47 per month and includes unlimited numbers of invoices and bills.
  4. Unlike many other competitors that cap the number of users per plan (looking at you, QuickBooks), Xero offers unlimited users even on the lowest tier plan.
  5. Xero is robust, cloud-based software with strong accounting, ample integrations, and some great features.
  6. Gusto is a platform that automates payroll filing for all 50 states in addition to automating payroll taxes, deductions and filings and providing employees with the platform to view pay stubs and W-2s online.

Is Xero Right for You or Your Business?

xero plans

I’m particularly passionate about supporting small businesses to use more technology, and the right technology, to help them build a resilient business. With the addition of Ultimate, we now have more plans to suit the needs of small businesses at each stage of their journey, offering more choice, flexibility and value in their plan. Wave is a solid choice for small businesses looking for free accounting software. Hubdoc is included in Xero Ignite, Grow, Comprehensive and Ultimate plans as long as it’s connected to your Xero subscription.

Bulk reconcile transactions

Gusto is a platform that automates payroll filing for all 50 states in addition to automating payroll taxes, deductions and filings and providing employees with the platform to view pay stubs and W-2s online. Xero and QuickBooks Online have a lot of similarities, as both have strong features and numerous integrations. In Australia and the United Kingdom, the Ultimate plan includes Payroll for 10 employees, and Expenses and Projects for five employees.

Xero has a mobile app, Xero Expenses, that allows you to snap pictures of receipts and create an expense instead of having to manually enter all the information. This feature is available on all pricing plans; which I appreciate since some accounting software charges extra for mobile receipt capture. Employees can submit a reimbursement request as soon as their receipts are uploaded, and the business owner can track expenses totals by category as they are submitted (Figure C). Xero’s simple invoicing tool (Figure A) makes it easy to upload your logo and choose from several branding themes, but I’d love to see more extensive customization options.

We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with confidence. Today’s leading accounting platforms offer standard security features like data encryption, secure credential tokenization and more. While human error will always play some role in security breaches, you can be confident in your accounting platform when it comes to keeping your information safe.

Keep in mind that bulk reconciliation is not included with the cheapest Early plan, so you might have to pay to upgrade if you want this feature. I wish it was included in all plans, because manually reconciling one transaction at a time is very tedious for many businesses. When rating accounting and invoicing software, we use a 47-point rubric that looks at pricing, ease of use, features, customer service, and user reviews. We weigh each section differently to calculate the total star rating.
